Libraries Tasmania engaged Luttrell Pyefinch to design the ‘Tasmaniana’ library – a purely Tasmanian collection comprising work from all Tasmanian authors. The project formed part of an ongoing redevelopment of the existing library, and involved designing an engaging and appropriate set of graphics and selecting materials that would not degrade the collection (low VOC, no glues or toxins). After multiple discussions with the archivist and library staff, Luttrell Pyefinch in collaboration with InkPot chose to reuse graphics from the collection and interpret them into screens, wayfinding materials and signage.
